With a mission to enhance awareness of the area's stunning natural resources, the Mill Mountain Discovery Center houses a bevy of exhibits and educational programs pertaining to the natural sciences. In addition to its ongoing day camps and other events, the Center features a visitors area with a touch-screen information kiosk and other displays. It occupies a modern-looking cabin-like building at the north end of Mill Mountain Park, just south of downtown.
