Opened in 1952, Mill Mountain Zoo is a small but successful animal sanctuary, welcoming about 70,000 visitors annually. It houses 85 animals representing 35 species, including such endangered creatures as the Red Panda, the Snow Leopard, and the White-naped Crane. Accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association, the zoo occupies 80 acres to the north of downtown, just east of Washington Park.
Open daily 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Winter Rates: Adults $5; Children $3 (3-11). Summer Rates: Adults $7.12; $4.75 (3-11); Children under 3 are free.
